Original handmade etching on copper plate with aquatint, in Prussian blue ink on Hanemuhle paper. Hand-gilded. 20cm X 26cm unframed.

This piece is part of the 'Wild Icons' series of etchings, featuring endangered animals from Brazil. The golden lion tamarin is an endangered species native to the Atlantic coastal forests of Brazil. The species was once critically endangered, but intensive conservation efforts have helped its population recover significantly. Despite recent successes, it's still vulnerable to habitat loss and the illegal wildlife trade.

10% of all proceeds will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund to support their conservation work in the Amazon.
